From peephole to kitchen counter, the Mummy Dogs look on from outside as their edible counterparts are constructed. The characters were designed to be slightly mischievous, curious, and loveably dim-witted.
We crafted a clay-like material and chose to animate at a low frame rate to hit those nostalgic notes of stop motion and speak to the target audience.
The original storyboards blocked out the scenes and transitions and established the tone

The material for the flaky pastry crust was created using vertex weight maps and spherical fields to impart variation, making some areas appear more toasted than others.
Combined with a hint of clay-like displacement and an elongated woodgrain texture, the result struck the perfect balance between realism and stop motion nostalgia.
